As a clinical counselor, my education was spent learning and studying the variety of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-V (DSM-V). But, the issues that might bring someone in for counseling could vary widely and range from anxiety or depression, to relationship distress or grief and loss.
